Our Story
For more than 65 years, we’ve proudly served the people of Hull and East Yorkshire, and today our family business is in its third generation.
Our story began on 3rd April 1950, when we opened our very first launderette on Hessle Road. Not only was it the first launderette in Hull, but it was also one of the very first in the UK. As demand grew, we expanded to our Spring Bank branch, which continues to serve customers to this day.
Throughout the years, we’ve remained committed to providing high-quality laundry and dry cleaning services with friendly, reliable customer care. Alongside other members of the National Association of the Launderette Industry (NALI), we helped shape the growth of self-service laundrettes across the UK, making laundry facilities more accessible for local families.
From those early beginnings, we’ve grown to become Hull’s largest independent launderette business, with seven locations across the city and surrounding area.

Our site has introduced microfibre filtration to help capture fibres shed during washing and reduce plastic pollution, while ozone disinfection and deodorisation supports a highly hygienic cleaning process with less need for higher temperatures.
